Biography

As A Sophomore in 2015-16: Academic All-Sunshine State Conference honoree…turned in a 15-6 singles record…was 7-4 in dual matches, playing all 11 contests at the No. 3 position…scored the clinching point against NCAA I Campbell by topping Nicolas Ratikin 6-4, 6-2 (Jan. 29)…also clinched the Eagles’ April 14 victory over No. 35 Palm Beach Atlantic, holding off Asti Adams 6-1, 7-6 (7-0)…the team leader in doubles victories, closing out the season with a 22-4 record…notched a 20-3 mark in partnership with Fabian Zierleyn…the duo was 14-1 in dual match play as the No. 2 tandem in the Eagle lineup and were ranked No. 23 in the final ITA/NCAA II poll. Fall 2015: Went 8-2 in singles and posted an 8-3 record alongside Fabian Zierleyn in doubles in fall play…undefeated in four singles matches at the ERAU Open (Sept. 16-18)…won the third-place match in the Gold Flight of the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational with an 8-2 decision against Patricio Zarazua of Alabama State (Oct. 30)…Becke and Zierleyn advanced to the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA DII South Regionals (Sept. 25-28).
 
As A Freshman in 2014-15: Joined the lineup in the spring…honorable mention NAIA All-American…first team All-Sun Conference selection…turned in a 20-4 singles record playing at the second, third and fourth spots in the lineup in his first semester with the Eagles…garnered conference Player of the Week honors after going 3-0 in both singles and doubles during the week ending on March 22…one of only two Eagle players to go 7-0 in conference play…owned a 12-match winning streak from March 12 to May 16…scored the clinching point against Northwood (April 18) to help the Eagles to the conference tournament title…was 19-6 in doubles…partnered with Fabian Zierleyn for an 18-4 doubles mark playing at the No. 2 spot in the doubles lineup.
 
Prep: Graduated from ILS Hamburg in 2014…led The Club Tennis Barcino to the Catalan Team Championship in 2010 and 2011…finished third at the Men’s NTV Championship in 2012…competed in Futures tournaments in Spain, Germany, Thailand and Portugal…teamed up with ATP No. 16 Phillip Kohlschreiber for doubles competition in the ATP 250 of Kitzbuhel in 2013…ranked No. 125 in Spain at the time of his high school graduation.
 
Personal: Born in Hildesheim, Germany…parents are Jorg Becke and Veronica Elosua…majoring in Business Administration.
